Seroprevalence in Spain

  • Research Sites: Various regions across Spain were selected for the study.
  • Methodology:** The ELISA and immunoassay tests, known as ENE-COVID (Estudio Nacional de Cohorte COVID), were employed to detect antibodies in blood samples from adults aged 19 years or older. Blood drawings took place between February and March of 2021.
  • Findings: A seroprevalence rate of around 5% was observed, suggesting that one-third of the Spanish population had been exposed to SARS-CoV-2 without exhibiting symptoms but still developed immunity.
