🚓 New York State Police announced the capture on Monday night. Sena is currently safe and healthy, and has been taken to a hospital for evaluation.
🕓 At around 4:20 a.m., state police observed a man dropping something in the Sena family mailbox. It was a ransom note.
👣 Police began fingerprint analysis. Their initial person of interest did not match. However, the right prints were found from a 1999 DWI arrest in Saratoga County.
🧩 Governor Kathy Hochul stated that investigators identified the suspect as 47-year-old Craig Nelson Ross Jr., 10 hours after observing him drop off the demand himself.
🚓 State and federal tactical teams swiftly moved in on a camper behind his mother’s double-wide trailer in Milton, just outside Saratoga Springs.
🗣 Hochul shared during a news briefing, “Within the camper, they located the suspect. After some resistance, he was taken into custody, and immediately the little girl was found in a cabinet, covered. She was rescued.”
