La repetida tragedia humana y ambiental causada por inundaciones torrenciales en el Estado de México ha provocado indignación e inquietud entre los habitantes afectados, destacando la necesidad urgente del gobierno para implementar medidas proactivas. En esta investigación, se examina cómo las autoridades han respondido ante estos desastrosos y si realmente están dispuestas a prevenir futuras réplicas de este ciclo devastador que perjudica la vida humana y los bienes materiales cada vez con mayor frecuen0cia. Pregunta de seguimiento 1: ¿Cuál es el factor relevante e irrelevante en identificar las políticas ambientales inadecuadas del gobierno frente a dichas tormentas?

En las comunidades del Estado de México, una tragedia humana y ambiental se repite en forma cíclica con cada inundación torrencial que azota la región, dejando a los vecinos frente a un parpadeante futuro sin solución. Además de externar su preocupación a través de las redes sociales, los twitteros utilizaron ayer el sitio de microblogging para solicitar auxilio y por supuesto, también hubo muchos mensajes de reprobación hacia las autoridades que sólo aparecen en estos casos para culparse entre sí.

Los gobiernos de cada uno de los municipios afectados se han encargado de responsabiliar a la Comisión Nacional del Agua (Conagua) por no abrir las compuertas del sistema de drenaje y por ignorar los estragos que ocasiona el no dar el mantenimiento adecuado al mismo.

Según se ha anunciado, los vecinos de Valle Dorado y de Arboledas recibirán cheques de entre 15 mil y 50 mil pesos, lo que nos recuerda aquella inundación en las mismas zonas cuando el gobernador mexiquense, Enrique Peña Nieto, paseó entre las calles disfrazado con impermeable y regalando televisiones mientras se escoltaba de militares que pusieron en marcha el plan DN-III.

¿Es ésta la solución?, ¿esperar a que las aguas negras se desborden y que los vecinos recurran a la desesperada construcción de muros con costales para luego, así nada más, repartirse culpas y dar dinero?
